Pardon if this has already been brought up as an idea/suggestion. However, I was wondering if it would be possible to simulate some of the logistical decisions in combat. It could be something as easy as having a "supply wagon" with a certain radius able to supply your troops. If not in the radius they would have a strength detriment. Or, if your troops do not have a certain "resource" they would suffer attrition for being Out Of Supply.
You could add lots of "decision-points" using logistics. I have always wondered why the developers have never fleshed out this idea. In my opinion, it would make the game even deeper and more challenging.
