So, the Zulu have a city called Nobamba. LOL. Looks an awful lot like Nobama or NO Obama. I love it. UPDATE: I might just take it because I love the name so much.

Shoshone are op! I have chosen 3 techs already. and built b lined to library great and oracle. i'll almost feel bad for kicking but.

I would show a screen but forgot how to jpg it properly. Pangaea/king/standard/huge

With the new Steam update I'm not only seeing hardly anybody online but apparently PC and Mac players just can't connect to one another anymore. Mind you that I don't have BNW installed yet so I'm wondering if this is an issue for those who do have it installed as well?

One thing I have noticed is that there seems no way to delete a trade route, has anyone else found this to be correct? This could get rather annoying, I really wish I could switch them as I pleased but I have not found this option... odd.

Edit: It seems you can click 'cancel current mission' on the unit just as any other unit, this cancels the current trade route allowing you to switch it.

Edit 2: Seems you cannot change the destination since I can not seem to access the 'cancel current mission' button anymore, not sure how I was even able to in the first place but I can't now. Seems to be impossible to change the route. I assume this bug will be patched, it would be downright ridiculous if they intentionally made it so trade routes were permanent and not changeable.

I think I remember just clicking on the Caravan unit let me change it's destination?

They run for a set amount of turns, and then you can reassign the route.

It's getting late I have to stop but interested so far. I thought it was cool as Venice and my merchant purchased Monaco.:king:

Cathedrals changed to +1 Culture, +1 Happiness, +1 Faith - but now come with a Great Work of Art / Artifact slot. All other religious buildings are unchanged.

Religious Texts was nerfed. It now spreads your religion 25% farther (50% with printing press). :(

Not liking the fact that I can't trade for gold without a declaration of friendship. Also, for AI that are neutral, they aren't give me a 1 for 1 trade of both of our extra resources.

Loving this Xpac!!! you guys really outdid yourselves on this one!! Thanks a trillion! :goodjob:

Probably because trade routes also spread religion now, makes sense to me...

I don't know if this is a new issue in BNW, but I sure didn't notice this in GK.

So, apparently AI settlers are now completely ignored by barbarians, which means they can just rush a settler without a single military unit with Raging Barbs option on, and then walk right past the barbarians and settle wherever they please.
I noticed this while exploring in a new game; My scout was looking at a Shoshone settler walking by a barbarian camp(!) unescorted, surrounded by 3 barb brutes. I was appalled at the stupidity of the AI, then was even more astonished when the 2 brutes which weren't guarding the camp decided that capturing that defenseless settler right next to them was dishonorable or something, and approached my scout instead(full HP).
I would've wrote this off as a freak AI ******ation if I didn't witness this again and again and again (that's four times total)... but the fourth time, this Indonesian settler was just wandering back and forth next to a barb camp actively spawning units for several turns without getting captured.

I just quit that game because it was simply getting absurd.

The sound that the game makes when someone else completes a wonder before you is gone. Thank goodness; no need to add insult to injury!

Around 1AD in my Portugal game, looking like I'm going for culture right now, but might move to Diplo if I feel like it later.

Have met everybody - Dandy is the only new leader of the batch. Don't have Printing Press so no WC yet, but here's something new: due to the culture view, you can track which cultures and how many the other civs you've met have also met, giving you an idea of where the unknown ones might be. Something tells me the AI will not use this info to their advantage.

The Oracle being nerfed in this expansion (effectively) I instead used my Great Library build to slingshot me to Drama & Poetry and thus build the Parthenon crazy early. So not only have I met everyone, but I'm the only one pumping Tourism so far. Which is nice.

Thoughts:

Pocatello is incredibly hard to work around, thank god that Open Borders now has a reason to exist

Shaka is surprisingly calm, granted he did wipe out three city states before I met him...

Casimir is a jackass

Gajah is screwed if he can't find and island to get his luxuries. Casimir cut him down before Industrial

Ashurbanipal keeps wanting to be my friend despite the fact that he's at war with all my friends

Enrico is very possessive of the City States

Maria is friendly, and really likes Open Borders

Ahmed monopolized the City States on his section of the map

They fixed that archers no longer generate great general points when shooting barbs or being shot by barb archers.

Can't decide if killing barbs is a MUST DO, to generate gold, or hunting for ruins is more important.
