Next Civ reveal method?

Aside from Poland, each group of two civs has been revealed in a new way - Assyria and Brazil with the PAX demo, Portugal and Zulu with Shadows and Indonesia / Morocco with blacked out icons. Any thoughts on what they could do for the last two?

Personally I'd like to see them give us the music, let us try to decipher what the civs are from that

I'd prefer to see them give us a sample of a peace or war theme, and let the musical enthusiasts among the community have their time to shine.

I think the reveal method was letting one of the new civs be seen on the minimap of a random screenshot, letting one of the new civs UU be seen in a screenshot as if it were a barbarian, and also letting a reviewer make revealing comments on some website. :mischief:

It's all part of the reveal method of the last civs.

They're not "going" to E3, but companies still release new information about their games during the same time frame. They just don't want to pay for a booth.

Reveal will be done by a guessing match (on Facebook) with the civ symbols

It would've been fun to guess a civ based on this civ symbol!

This way, they could still show off the civ colors (that was ~~leaked~~ on the minimap) and get away with it

So now we're speculating on how they will give us hints to speculate on? :lol:

I think they could do something like they did with Gustavus Adolphus last time - reveal a bit of a leader concept art here, a bit there, focus on stuff that's vague enough it could be anybody, etc. If they were adding the Shawnee under Tecumseh, for instance, he'd be hard to pin down at first due to the fact that his outfit and look would be a mix of European and Native. But heck, even with Gustavus Adolphus, it was pretty hard to figure out from the first few pieces - I mean, I could've reasonably seen Shaka at first.

Portugal would have been soooooo easy - I mean, that symbol is right on their flag. Morocco would have been even easier, and Brazil would have been a little harder. Assyria, Poland and Indonesia would have been trickier. I doubt they'll do it this way.

It is the leaders that they've been teasing. It would be impossible to guess the leaders based upon the music.

If they tried teasing us with Polynesia's music, i'm fairly sure 90% of us would at least be thinking of the right ocean.

Some music is easier to differentiate than others though i guess. It would be difficult to guess which native american civ is announced by music, though not impossible given the vast array of strangely specialised people we have on these boards.

I'm not saying it would be difficult to discern the civ based upon the music. I'm just saying that doesn't seem to be the focus of these reveals.

No mention of BNW, but there are still a few unannounced on the 23rd.

Certainly, if they present separately the two last civs, the next will certainly be Venice, as it is 99% confirmed, so that we still get a surprise.
