I'm adding a new Yield called 'Shadowlands Taint' in my mod. The Taint is a gamble, you certainly get more powerful, but there is a trade-off; I know players will be able to understand this gamble, but how would I do that with the AI?
Flavor is the thing that comes to mind, but seeing as it's merely an extension of what's in the dll, I can't just make a 'Flavor Shadowlands' and expect the AI to understand it.
So, if you were in my position, what would you do? How would you make the AI understand Guy#1 is way more powerful than Guy#2, but getting another Unit (#1) with the Taint could be prejudicial?
