Need help with saved game

Greetings,

We are playing AND on multiplayer lan game, and we have a lot of OOS problems. Because we can't get rid of the OOS problems, we tried to play the game on 1 pc trough Hot Seat. De game will start but after player 1 finished his turn, the game keeps waiting for player 2

Is there any possibility to convert the multiplayer lan saved game into a Hot Seat version.

Try copying the multiplayer save into the hot-seat directory.

We've tried that already and the game will start as mentioned, but it keeps waiting for player 2.
We dont want to start over, cause its a awesome game we play atm
So we thought maybe there's a way to convert the save game.
We play on multiplayer direct IP with simultaneous turns. Can the save be converted or is there some way to manage the save game so, for example, simultaneous turns can be switched off?
If you know what i mean..

AFAIK, there's no way to turn a DirectIP save into a hotseat save.
