Expanded Plus Mod

I created a mod compilation based on what I play alot which is the Expanded Next War mod by Chiyu.

Basically I like to play epic games from warriors to assault mechs.

In addition there were some things that bugged me about the vanilla BtS game...holes in the game play, which this mod fixes:

  • Deforestation:yuck:: Players and AIs chop rush forests leading to a late game world barren of forests.
    Mod Feature: Ability to replant forests:health: :hammers:
  • Insane Global Warming: In long games global warming eventually creates a barren world which is unrealistic and frankly, stupid as hell. :mad:
    Mod Feature: Lt.Bob's Nuclear Fallout instead of desertification (requires included game core):goodjob:
  • Stuck with bad cities and buildings: There was no way to get rid of strategically poor cities and antiquated buildings :rolleyes:
    Mod Feature: Ability to raze your own cities and buildings at any time:goodjob:
  • Stuck with foreign religions: :religion: There was no way to get rid of foreign religions.
    Mod Feature: Inquisition to purge non-state religions​
  • Religion hoarding: :religion:Players and AI could found multiple religions therefore creating an artificial advantage and bland single player games
    Mod Feature: Limited Religions to only allow founding of one holy city per Civ​
  • Useless desert tiles: Pretty self explainitory. :)
    Mod Feature: Desert solar panels:commerce::hammers:
  • Other Improvements:

    Full support for 40-civs in a single scenario
    Solver's 0.19 Unofficial Patch Changes
    Lt.Bob's Nuclear Fallout instead of desertification in Global Warming
    Better AI 0.35 changes
    Aerial Recon Missions can now be intercepted
    Fixes for previously broken AI bomber missions and fighter intercept animations​

-city can work plot to eliminate fallout
--once fallout is dissapated, plot is "damaged" <new improvement>

Does this install as a Mod or into custom assets or what? I see you have the gamecore from wolfshanze in a seperate zip inside the archive... been a while since I've played and without instructions, I'm not sure the best way to install this.

Also - have you incorporated the entire wolfshanze mod or just used the gamecore from it?

The mod doesnt need the game core, I included it because I feel it solves some major problems in the game play.

Yes the majority installs as a mod, just unrar into the mod folder. As far as the game core, I usually back mine up, then place the new one in the assets folder. I havent played with putting the gamecore into the mod/assets folder.

My mod does not include the full wolfshanze mod, only the game core.

Looking at the XML, it looks like it is called the League Of Nations...Could that be it?
