I have a fetish for huge maps.

Not too bothered about other options...

Huge allows for a number of ai to go around to beat up with impunity.

Raging barbs can also be fun.

Fractal map also means we have to explore to find out....i prefer this..

(I'm currently away so a pre-weekend start would leave me causing a slight delay)

I was going for standard size. Barbs will be on as will huts and events.

I'll set up the game when I'm less drunk then! Any civ preferences for those who haven't chosen? England, Greece and Maya have been bagged.
 
oh yay. barbs huts events, oh the fun...

eh, not my choice but will make do... what's the betting i get assigned some snow bound wasteland?
 
I've not set it up yet. Events can be lulz ;) Barbs keeps everyone on their toes, and provides free xp and cities.

Huts on for civs unlucky enough to begin with a scout.
 
Cheetah may make an appearance... I'm open to upping the map size to large then.
 
Well, the more people we have, the longer the game takes, but I'm not overly opposed to that...

heh, and i just realised I haven't yet installed civ4 on my new pc... download commenced :)
 
Hopefully you have BtS... patch it to 3.19 too - you can download it from the downloads section here.

EDIT: Cheetah is in.
 
Err... Are we starting to play tonight?

I just tried to start BTS, and realised I've done something funny to wreck my installation. Now I need to look around to find my cd's again...
 
Bathsheba is busy until the weekend, so there's no rush.

With 8 and a smaller map they would be a tight fit, I suspect...

For reference, I am GMT+10, give or take for daylight savings. I can usually play my turn at around 6pm, so that's 4am London, and 11pm American East Coast time.

I could sometimes play in the mornings before work though, so I'll see how it pans out.
