Honestly DMOC, just use a no-ip.org DNS account. Far easier.
 
I just used Hamachi since that's what Sommersword told me, and I didn't know about a no-ip.org DNS account. (from here? http://www.no-ip.com/)

So I take it that we should restart this game :)( ) and use the no-ip.org DNS account?

Or if KingMorgan is willing to host? :lol: You're much more experienced in hosting.
 
@DMOC,

Now I'm confused completely!

Do we restart the game? What is the game network on Hamachi? I can't connect!
 
I connected and finished my first turn just fine but now I can't connect.

EDIT: I tried both the IP address and mavmavmavmavericks.

EDITEDIT: In Hamachi I can't ping you (DMOC) and you are a relayed tunnel, not direct tunnel (whatever that means).
 
I think we'd get the same map since it was made by a person...
 
An updateable DNS account won't help if you don't have the port forwarding in order (have a static LAN IP and forward the correct ports to that IP from your router). Wasn't that the reason you started trying to use Hamachi? For what it's worth I would think as well that just doing it the old-fashioned way is simpler than using Hamachi.

Your public IP (the one people should be connecting to) you can see frex from http://checkip.dyndns.org/, your LAN IP is set from the TCP/IP options.

All this could be old news to you I guess, I'm still not quite up to speed on the various things going on in this forum :lol:
 
Oh my, I didn't see this thread until now. Good thing the game has problems so I didn't miss the start. :blush:
 
I would offer but my internet connection does this funny thing where it can't do anything for like 20 seconds every couple of hours.
