Holographics
Requires Augmented Reality AND Mesh Networks
Cost Between Railgun and Skyroads

Holography is a method of reproducing a three-dimensional image of an object by means of light wave patterns recorded on a photographic plate or film. Holography is sometimes called lensless photography because no lenses are used to form the image. The plate or film with the recorded wave patterns is called a hologram. The light used to make a hologram must be coherent, i.e. of a single wavelength or frequency and with all the waves in phase. (A coherent beam of light can be produced by a laser.) Before reaching the object, the beam is split into two parts; one (the reference beam) is recorded directly on the photographic plate and the other is reflected from the object to be photographed and is then recorded.

Ontological Engineering
Artificial Intelligence AND Thought Scanning
Cost Between Railgun and Skyroads

Ontology engineering in the branches of computer science, artificial intelligence, and information science is a new field, which studies the methods and methodologies for building ontologies: formal representations of a set of concepts within a domain and the relationships between those concepts. A large scale representation of abstract concepts such as actions, time, physical objects and beliefs would be an example of ontological engineering.

Ontologies provide a common vocabulary of an area and define, with different levels of formality, the meaning of the terms and the relationships between them. During the last decade, increasing attention has been focused on ontologies.

Ontologies are now widely used in knowledge engineering, artificial intelligence and computer science; in applications related to areas such as knowledge management, natural language processing, e-commerce, intelligent information integration, bio-informatics, education; and in new emerging fields like the semantic web. Ontological engineering is a new field of study concerning the ontology development process, the ontology life cycle, the methods and methodologies for building ontologies, and the tool suites and languages that support them.

Cybersociology
Artificial Intelligence AND AND Mesh Networks
Cost Between Railgun and Skyroads

Cybersociology is the study of how Artificial Intelligence, Cyborgs, and Thought Scanning affect society and the new dilemmas that are associated with them. Cybersociologists study how to introduce the cyber lifestyle to the general public and cyber-human relations. Theories and legislation like Asimov Three Laws are studied and how to make sure an automated society doesn't collapse the human ecosystem. Cybersociology also studies the relationship between Transhumanism and Theology, but its main theme is how Transhumanism affects all aspects of society.

Nanogenerators
Metamaterials AND Artificial Intelligence AND Fusion
Cost Between Railgun and Skyroads

Nanogenerator is an energy harvesting device converting the external kinetic energy into an electrical energy based on the energy conversion by nano-structured piezoelectric material. Although its definition may include any types of energy harvesting devices with nano-structure converting the various types of the ambient energy (e.g. solar power and thermal energy), it is used in most of times to specifically indicate the kinetic energy harvesting devices utilizing nano-scaled piezoelectric material after its first introduction in 2006.

Although still in the early stage of the development, it has been regarded as a potential breakthrough toward the further miniaturization of the conventional energy harvester, possibly leading the facile integration with the other types of energy harvester converting the different types of energy and the independent operation of mobile electronic devices with the reduced concerns for the energy source, consequently

Exocortex Networks
Thought Scanning AND Mesh Networks
Cost Between Railgun and Skyroads

An exocortex is a theoretical artificial external information processing system that would augment a brain's biological high-level cognitive processes. It can be said to be an Internet made up of people with implants all connected to form a network.

An individual's exocortex would be composed of external memory modules, processors, IO devices and software systems that would interact with, and augment, a person's biological brain. Typically this interaction is described as being conducted through a direct brain-computer interface, making these extensions functionally part of the individual's mind.

Individuals with significant exocortices could be classified as cyborgs or transhumans.

While [the traditional concept of] a cyborg has included artificial mechanical limbs, embedded chips and devices, another interesting concept is the exocortex, which is a brain-computer interface. In theory, the exocortex would be a computer-like processing system that would co-exist with and enhance the power of the human brain. Neuromancer is a book that has talked about such a scenario.

Gene Jurisprudence
Requires Replaceable Organs
Cost Between Railgun and Skyroads

Gene Jurisprudence is the law of of what is acceptable in terms of gene modification and gene artistry, and laws are passed on what the average citizen can modify genetically. Since the introduction of the brain machine interface and the creation of the Exocortex the law must regulate how far human can modify themselves genetically or with cybernetics.

Rapid Recuperation
Requires Replaceable Organs AND Military Robotics AND Artificial Intelligence
Cost Between Railgun and Skyroads
Rapid Recuperation are a series of technologies that accelerate the healing process, and speed up the chance of life in accidents. Also wealthy individuals can buy Recuperation Vests that automatically calls the nearest hospital if medical abnormalities, and automatically detect if they are involved in an accident and can give automated CPR and shock the heart back to rhythm .

Stratosphere Defence
(this is basically Castles 2.0)
requires Hypersonic Flight and Holographics AND railgun
Same Cost as Invisibilty

As more members of society take to the skies, and the concept of skyroads are near commercialization, the stratosphere must be protected at all times, but jets and military craft are too costly to permanently protect the skies because of high cost of fuel.

Also the data blimps that connect the world and the new Exocortex networks must be safeguarded. Satellites are in limited use because of the increased use of unmanned missles that can penetrate the outer edges of the atmosohere. Because the stratosphere blimps are equipped with railgun systems with advanced AI they can strategically protect the skies from foreign invaders. They also cannot be targeted accurately by ground based cyberattacks, since the "hive mind" of UAVs make it very difficult to be targeted at once. Scientists predict in the future they may be able to build "Smart Dust" based on this concept.

These stratosphere blimps have hives of specialized unmanned aircraft with each a specific duty that live inside them to refuel and protect its mother blimp. All stratosphere blimps are controlled by ground command, but most of the time they are on autopilot, and are strategically placed around the civilization to protect the public

Also besides defense, aerial reconnaissance is greatly increased since these blimps are virtually always in aerial traffic. Satellites are useful for reconnaissance, but they cannot provide any defense from outer space from unmanned threats.

Citizens see stratosphere blimps and other stratosphere defences as an invasion of privacy, but homeland security always is a priorityy over citizen rights. On the positive side new forms of stratosphere entertainment are avalible and the idea of skyroads and aeriel cities are in the dreams of many.

Novus Chemistry
Requires Fusion AND Exocortex Networks AND Ontological Engineering
Same Cost as Invisibilty

Novus (New in Latin) is a branch of chemistry that is associated with new forms of metamaterials and its interactions with humans and cyber biology. It is the grandchild of biomathmatics and this branch of science is about how to use metametarials to later create cybernetic parts, fuse the biological and the cyber, and exotic new elements. Because of the complexity of this science, brain enhancements and powerful AI are needed to comprehend the 100 page calculations needed to solve a single equation. Religious groups believe this branch of science is against the will of god, and it will open a Pandoras box of heresy if artificial life is to be created.

Binary Lesgislation
Requires Cybersociology
Same Cost as Universal Translator

Laws of Robotics are a set of laws, rules, or principles, which are intended as a fundamental framework to underpin the behavior of robots designed to have a degree of autonomy. Robots of this degree of complexity do not yet exist, but they have been widely anticipated in science fiction, films and are a topic of active research and development in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.

This includes the legal and legal-philosophical conditions surrounding the use and application of robots. The legal and technical terminology in today’s law is becoming ever more difficult to apply in practice as the field of robotics progresses. Robot law is a legal discussion on the assessment of the status of advanced machines that focuses on the ever-increasing autonomy (or quasi-autonomy) of technical systems equipped with artificial intelligence. This discussion leads to a reassessment of legal rights and obligations in addition to traditional legal categories (e.g. messenger, agent, and tool).

Antigrav
Requires Invisiblity AND Bionics AND Hypersonic Flight
Same Cost as Universal Translator

Anti-gravity is the idea of creating a place or object that is free from the force of gravity. It does not refer to the lack of weight under gravity experienced in free fall or orbit, or to balancing the force of gravity with some other force, such as electromagnetism or aerodynamic lift. Anti-gravity is a recurring concept in science fiction, particularly in the context of spacecraft propulsion. An early example is the gravity blocking substance "Cavorite" in H. G. Wells' The First Men in the Moon.

In Newton's law of universal gravitation, gravity was an external force transmitted by unknown means. In the 20th century, Newton's model was replaced by general relativity where gravity is not a force but the result of the geometry of space. Under general relativity, anti-gravity is impossible except under contrived circumstances. Quantum physicists have postulated the existence of gravitons, a set of massless elementary particles that transmit the force, and the possibility of creating or destroying these is unclear.

"Anti-gravity" is often used colloquially to refer to devices that look as if they reverse gravity even though they operate through other means, such as lifters, which fly in the air by using electromagnetic fields.

Cyberspace Telepathy
Requires Exocortex Networks AND Bionics AND Wireless Electricity
Same Cost as Universal Translator

Sometimes we humans connect to each other in ways that seem to defy the traditional laws of sense impressions. In the early 20th century text messages were king, then they were replaced by augmented reality.. Well with Exocortex networks and the creation of wireless electricity you can communicate with others in cyberspace with your mind as long as you are implanted with an Exocortex network. Now, Call it telepathy, empathy, or intuition, we seem to know what others are thinking or feeling without being aware of just how we know it. all we know is if two individuals are connected to an Exocortex Network they can communicate with each other via their mind, but only in cyberspace.

Reprogrammable Chips
Requires Advanced Computers AND Wireless Electricity AND Novus Chemistry
Same Cost as Universal Translator

The rapid pace of innovation and the relentless pressure of Moore’s Law means new and better gadgets are always coming to market, but it also means whatever you just bought for several hundred (or thousand) dollars will likely be obsolete in a matter of months. A new kind of shape-shifting chip, allows device hardware to be reconfigured when updated designs become available.

Essentially, the hardware equivalent of software--a chip that can be updated over time to implement hardware improvements without scrapping a device outright. Programmable chips are be made fast, and more importantly cheap, devices with reprogrammable components could supplant the fixed hardware devices ubiquitous today.

Molecular Assembly
Requires Advanced computers AND Wireless Electricity AND Novus Chemistry
Same Cost as Universal Translator

A molecular assembler, as defined by K. Eric Drexler, is a "proposed device able to guide chemical reactions by positioning reactive molecules with atomic precision". Some biological molecules such as ribosomes fit this definition. This is because they receive instructions from messenger RNA and then assemble specific sequences of amino acids to construct protein molecules. However, the term "molecular assembler" usually refers to theoretical human-made devices.

Likewise, the term "molecular assembler" has been used in science fiction and popular culture to refer to a wide range of fantastic atom-manipulating nanomachines, many of which may be physically impossible in reality. Much of the controversy regarding "molecular assemblers" results from the confusion in the use of the name for both technical concepts and popular fantasies. In 1992, Drexler introduced the related but better-understood term "molecular manufacturing," which he defined as the programmed "chemical synthesis of complex structures by mechanically positioning reactive molecules, not by manipulating individual atoms.

Artificial Photosynthesis
Requires Novus Chemistry AND Wireless Electricity
Same Cost as Universal Translator

Artificial photosynthesis is a chemical process that replicates the natural process of photosynthesis, a process that converts sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into carbohydrates and oxygen. The term is commonly used to refer to any scheme for capturing and storing the energy from sunlight in the chemical bonds of a fuel (a solar fuel). Photocatalytic water splitting converts water into protons (and eventually hydrogen) and oxygen, and is a main research area in artificial photosynthesis. Light-driven carbon dioxide reduction is another studied process, replicating natural carbon fixation.

Research developed in this field encompasses design and assembly of devices (and their components) for the direct production of solar fuels, photoelectrochemistry and its application in fuel cells, and engineering of enzymes and photoautotrophic microorganisms for microbial biofuel and biohydrogen production from sunlight. Many, if not most, of the artificial approaches are bio-inspired, i.e., they rely on biomimetics.

Cyberimmunology
Requires Exocortex networks and Novus Chemistry AND Wireless Electricity
Same Cost as Universal Translator

Cyberimmunology is the study of how to protect transhumans from cyber viruses transmitted via rougue hackers in the Exocortex Networks.
Cyverimmunology is a branch of biomedical science that covers the study of all aspects of the immune system in all organisms expect Virtual. It deals with the physiological functioning of the immune system in states of both health and diseases; malfunctions of the immune system in immunological disorders (autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, immune deficiency, transplant rejection); the physical, chemical and physiological characteristics of the components of the immune system in vitro, in situ, in vivo, and in cyber.

Cyberimmunology has applications in several disciplines of science, and as such is further divided. Another branch is how to create a stronger immune system in humans, and how to create an artificial immune system so the dream of humanoid androids comes true. Also this is grandfather of the branch of science known as Nanobotics.

Orbital flight
Also requires Antigrav and Artificial Photosynthesis

Enhanced Haptics
Required Bionics AND Cyberspace Telepathy
Same Cost as Orbital flight

Haptic technology, or haptics, is a tactile feedback technology which takes advantage of the sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to the user. This mechanical stimulation can be used to assist in the creation of virtual objects in a computer simulation, to control such virtual objects, and to enhance the remote control of machines and devices (telerobotics). It has been described as "doing for the sense of touch what computer graphics does for vision". Haptic devices may incorporate tactile sensors that measure forces exerted by the user on the interface.

Haptic technology has made it possible to investigate how the human sense of touch works by allowing the creation of carefully controlled haptic virtual objects. These objects are used to systematically probe human haptic capabilities, which would otherwise be difficult to achieve. These research tools contribute to the understanding of how touch and its underlying brain functions work.

Quantum Computing
Also requires Reprogrammable Chips AND molecular Assembly

Binary Subconsciousness
Requires Cyberspace Telepathy AND Reprogramable Chips AND Cyberimmuniology
Same Cost as Orbital flight

Binary Consciousness is a term that refers to science of creating a subconscious for cyber organisms, and is a relationship between the mind and the world with which it interacts. With the invention of the brain machine interface, the line between human and machine has been crossed, but now man has created a thinking creature. Their a rumors that this might lead to a mind uploading network someday.

It has been defined as: robot subjectivity, cyber awareness, the ability for a cyber organism to experience or to feel, wakefulness, having a sense of selfhood, and the executive control system of the mind. Despite the difficulty in definition, many Transhuman Era philosophers believe that there is a broadly shared underlying intuition about what binary consciousness is.

Issues of concern in the philosophy of binary consciousness include whether the concept is fundamentally valid; whether consciousness can ever be explained mechanistically; whether non-human consciousness exists and if so how it can be recognized; how consciousness relates to language; and whether it may ever be possible for computers or robots to be conscious. Perhaps the thorniest issue is whether binary consciousness can be understood in a way that does not require a dualistic distinction between mental and physical states or properties.

Regional hypersense
requires Binary subconsciousness and enhanced haptics AND Quantum Computing
Same Cost as Personal robots

This technology allows you to have binary omnipresence around you in a regional area,(quantum computing doesn't provide enough power for a larger area), and have the ability to have a "sixth sense" of feeling. Omniscience is the capacity to know everything infinitely, or at least everything that can be known about a character including thoughts, feelings, life and its mental universe. This is a highly advanced form of Thought Scanning, and is only available because of advances in binary subconsciousness. As long as you are connected to an exocortex network and have the permission of the person, you can almost life life as if you were them. This highly reduces crime and increases the intimacy between lovers, but governments can have rogue agents befriend targets and analyze their moods and feelings. Scientists believe one day this might lead to mind uploading to truly share the mind of another individual instead of artificial means.

Somatosensory systems
requires binary subconsciousness AND Enhanced Haptics AND Cybernetics
Same Cost as Personal robots

With advances in cybernetics, this next stage of transhuman modification ; a Binary Somatosensory System is an enhanced binary implant used to increase the immersiveness of virtual reality and enhances a cyber organisms sense of life.

It is composed of the receptors and processing centres to produce the sensory modalities in cyber organisms such as touch, temperature, proprioception (body position), and nociception (pain), as well as allows humans to experience those sensations in virtual reality.

The sensory receptors cover the skin and epithelia, skeletal muscles, bones and joints, internal organs, and the cardiovascular system. While binary touch (also, more formally, tactition; adjectival form: "tactile" or "somatosensory") is considered one of the five traditional senses, the impression of touch is formed from several cybernetic modalities.

The system reacts to diverse stimuli using different cybernetic receptors: thermoreceptors, nociceptors, mechanoreceptors and chemoreceptors. Transmission of information from the receptors passes via sensory nerves through tracts in the spinal cord and into the brain. Processing primarily occurs in the primary somatosensory area in the parietal lobe of the cerebral cortex or artificial brain.
Some religious groups already outraged Binary Subconsciousness exists, are even more enraged the humans and machines are uniting into one.

Going to bed, but i will provide quotes too for all the new techs. Many be ficitional and from the future but they will be creative and witty.

Love the haptic and holographic tech ideas.

I still think the Evoluionary Algorithms tech idea should be included.
Artificial Intelligence and Science Fiction are 2 of my favorite hobbies ( next to C2C of course) and both Artificial Neural Nets (ANN) and Genetic Algorithmns (GA) show tremendous potential for the immediate future. They both can be grouped into bio-inspired or Evolutionary Programming. Simulating evolution is an obvious route to true Artificial Intelligence. Note: I have 2.5 years of computer engineering and a degree in business. I follow AI tech news closely and can see the trends, from Watson, to recently developed neural chips. I vote for this being included.

Forensics
Requires Gene Manipuation AND Nanotechnology
Same Cost As Superstring Theory

Forensic science (often shortened to forensics) is the application of a broad spectrum of sciences to answer questions of interest to a legal system. This may be in relation to a crime or a civil action. The word forensic comes from the Latin forēnsis, meaning "of or before the forum. In Roman times, a criminal charge meant presenting the case before a group of public individuals in the forum. Both the person accused of the crime and the accuser would give speeches based on their sides of the story. The individual with the best argument and delivery would determine the outcome of the case. This origin is the source of the two modern usages of the word forensic – as a form of legal evidence and as a category of public presentation.

In modern use, the term "forensics" in the place of "forensic science" can be considered correct as the term "forensic" is effectively a synonym for "legal" or "related to courts". However the term is now so closely associated with the scientific field that many dictionaries include the meaning that equates the word "forensics" with "forensic science".

Bioinformatics
Requires Communication Networks AN Nanotechnology
Same Cost As Space Tourism
Bioinformatics is the application of computer science and information technology to the field of biology and medicine. Bioinformatics deals with algorithms, databases and information systems, web technologies, artificial intelligence and soft computing, information and computation theory, software engineering, data mining, image processing, modeling and simulation, signal processing, discrete mathematics, control and system theory, circuit theory, and statistics. Bioinformatics generates new knowledge as well as the computational tools to create that knowledge.

Commonly used software tools and technologies in this field include Java, XML, Perl, C, C++, Python, R, MySQL, SQL, CUDA, MATLAB, and Microsoft Excel.

Media Psychology
{This combines digital electronics, e-learning, electronic billboards, 3d movies, flat screen televisions, and digital media [/mp3s/ cds/dvds]}
Requires Communication Networks AND Virtual Reality AND Nanotechnology
Same Cost as Space Tourism
The study of Media psychology emerged as an academic and professional discipline due to a social and commercial demand for the application of psychological theory and research into the impact of media and emerging media technologies both academic and non-academic settings. Psychology is fundamental to understanding the impact on individuals and groups of the integration of media technologies in our society. This field encompasses the full range of human experience of media—including affect, cognition, and behavior—in activities, events, theories, and practices. Media include all forms of mediated communication, such as pictures, sound, graphics, content and emerging technologies.
The emerging field represented a significant opportunity to use media in new and creative ways by understanding how psychology and media work together. Psychological theories can be applied to emerging social media, e-Learning, and digital technologies in pioneering ways. Media psychology draws from multiples disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, neuroscience, political science, rhetorics, computer science, communications, and international relations.

Cyberwarfare
Requires Cloud Computing AND Forensics AND Media Pyscology
Cost Same AS Wearable Computers

yberwarfare refers to politically motivated hacking to conduct sabotage and espionage. It is a form of information warfare sometimes seen as analogous to conventional warfare although this analogy is controversial for both its accuracy and its political motivation.

Government security expert Richard A. Clarke, in his book Cyber War (May 2010), defines "cyberwarfare" as "actions by a nation-state to penetrate another nation's computers or networks for the purposes of causing damage or disruption. The Economist describes cyberspace as "the fifth domain of warfare," and William J. Lynn, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense, states that "as a doctrinal matter, the Pentagon has formally recognized cyberspace as a new domain in warfare . . . which has become just as critical to military operations as land, sea, air, and space."

Exoplanet Discovery
Combines Exoplanets discovery and Super Earths
Requires Space Tourism AND Cloud Computing AND Superstring Theory

An extrasolar planet, or exoplanet, is a planet outside the Solar System. The first alien planets -- called exoplanets -- were being detected in the early 1990s, but not directly. A total of 770 such planets (in 616 planetary systems and 102 multiple planetary systems) have been identified as of May 28, 2012. Estimates of the frequency of systems strongly suggest that more than 50% of Sun-like stars harbor at least one planet.

In 2008, astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope and the infrared Keck and Gemini observatories in Hawaii announced that they had "seen" exoplanets orbiting distant stars. The two observatories had taken images of these alien worlds. The Keck observation was the infrared detection of three exoplanets orbiting a star called HR8799, 150 light-years from Earth. Hubble spotted one massive exoplanet orbiting the star Fomalhaut, 25 light-years from Earth.

A super-Earth is an extrasolar planet with a mass higher than Earth's, but substantially below the mass of the Solar System's smaller gas giants Uranus and Neptune, which are both more or less 15 Earth masses.[1] The term super-Earth refers only to the mass of the planet, and does not imply anything about the surface conditions or habitability.

These finds pose a profound question: How long will it be until we spot an Earth-like world with an extraterrestrial civilization looking back at us?

Photorealism
Combines Digital Art, Photo-realistic Animation, AND Photorealism
Requires Virtual Reality AND Media Psychology AND Exoplanet Discovery
Cost Same As Biopunk

Photorealism in computer animation means making each frame look photorealistic, in the sense that the scene is rendered to resemble a photograph, or to making the animation of characters believable and life-like.

Photorealism is also the genre of painting based on using the camera and photographs to gather information and then from this information creating a painting that appears photographic.

In theory, realistic computer animation can reach a point where it is indistinguishable from real action captured on film. Where computer animation achieves this level of realism, it may have major repercussions for the film industry.

Modern computer animation usually uses 3D computer graphics, although 2D computer graphics are still used for stylistic, low bandwidth, and faster real-time renderings. Sometimes the target of the animation is the computer itself, but sometimes the target is another medium, such as film.

Computer animation can be created with a computer and animation software. Some impressive animation can be achieved even with basic programs; however, the rendering can take a lot of time on an ordinary home computer. Because of this, video game animators tend to use low resolution, low polygon count renders, such that the graphics can be rendered in real time on a home computer. Photorealistic animation would be impractical in this context until the immediate future.

Evolutionary Algorithms
Requires Machine Learning AND Biomathmatics
Cost Between Military Robotics AND Railguns

This simply means computational code that evolve over time.
In artificial intelligence, an evolutionary algorithm (EA) is a subset of evolutionary computation, a generic population-based metaheuristic optimization algorithm.

An EA uses some mechanisms inspired by biological evolution: reproduction, mutation, recombination, and selection. Candidate solutions to the optimization problem play the role of individuals in a population, and the fitness function determines the environment within which the solutions "live" (see also cost function). Evolution of the population then takes place after the repeated application of the above operators. Artificial evolution (AE) describes a process involving individual evolutionary algorithms; EAs are individual components that participate in an AE.

Evolutionary algorithms often perform well approximating solutions to all types of problems because they ideally do not make any assumption about the underlying fitness landscape; this generality is shown by successes in fields as diverse as engineering, art, biology, economics, marketing, genetics, operations research, robotics, social sciences, physics, politics and chemistry[citation needed].

Techniques from evolutionary algorithms applied to the modeling of biological evolution are generally limited to explorations of microevolutionary processes, however some computer simulations, such as Tierra and Avida, attempt to model macroevolutionary dynamics.

Graphene
Requires Theoretical Physics AND Micromechanics AND Metamaterials
Cost Between Military Robotics AND Railguns

Graphene has been proclaimed as the "miracle material" of the 21st Century.

The material graphene was touted as "the next big thing" even before its pioneers were handed the Nobel Prize last year. Graphene is a huge range of materials and has several applications similiar to the class of plastics .

If graphene can be compared to the way plastic is used today, everything from crisp packets to clothing could be digitised once the technology is established. The future could see credit cards contain as much processing power as your current smartphone

Many believe it could spell the end for silicon and change the future of computers and other devices forever. It has been said to be the strongest material ever measured, an improvement upon and a replacement for silicon and the most conductive material known to man, its properties have sent the science world and the media into a frenzy.

"It can open completely new applications in transparent electronics, in flexible electronics and electronics that are much faster than today," says Jari Kinaret, professor of technology at Chalmers University in Sweden.

And beyond its digital applications, just one example of its use would be graphene powder added to tyres to make them stronger.

Since its properties were uncovered, more and more scientists have been keen to work on projects. About 200 companies and start-ups are now involved in research around graphene. In 2010, it was the subject of about 3,000 research papers.

Biodiversity Informatics
Cost Between Military Robotics AND Railguns
Only 10% of all animals and plants are currently categorized. Combines infomatics, systematics, gene algorithms, and rapid gene sequencing
Requires Ecological Engineering AND Biomathmatics AND Micromechanics

The conference of biodiversity and informatics leaders held at Harvard University in 2001 agreed that by using new methods already available and including genomics, systematists have the capacity to complete or nearly complete a global biodiversity survey within a single human generation—25 years—at about the cost of the Human Genome Project.

To give a better feel for the magnitude of this biological moon shot, consider that whereas very roughly 10% of Earth's species (out of, say, 15-20 million extant) have been discovered and named in the past 250 years since Linnaeus inaugurated the hierarchical and binomial system of classification, now it seems possible that the remaining 90% can be so covered in 1/10th of that time.

What discoveries the remaining 90% can bring to the table of science is astounding.

Personalized Health
Combines Integrated Health and Proteomics.
Requires Replacement Organs AND Machine Learning AND Augmented Reality
Cost Between Military Robotics AND Railguns

Advances in medical genetics and human genetics have enabled a more detailed understanding of the impact of genetics in disease. Machine Learning and Augumented Reality imaging of the human body on have made it possible to create new diagnostic tools that diagnose, treat, and prevent new illnesses.

Personalized medicine is a medical model that proposes the customization of healthcare, with all decisions and practices being tailored to the individual patient by use of genetic or other information.

Traditional clinical diagnosis and management focuses on the individual patient's clinical signs and symptoms, medical and family history, and data from laboratory and imaging evaluation to diagnose and treat illnesses.

The field of proteomics, or the comprehensive analysis and characterization of all of the proteins and protein isoforms encoded by the human genome, may eventually have a great impact on medicine. This is because while the DNA genome is the information archive, it is the proteins that do the work of the cell: the functional aspects of the cell are controlled by and through proteins, not genes.

I have quite a bit of ideas. Well hold on to your pants because the real future starts in the early Galactic Era, i see the Transhuman Era as a stepping stone for the real future.

My goal is to make the very last Tech Mutiverse Exploration which would essentially take forever.

Outstanding job MrAzure! Not only did you give names and locations, but descriptions and pictures! And for how many, 30 techs? I think we should seriously consider implementing some of these, as they have lots of potential. (what grabbed me was biomechanical harvesting, very interesting...)

Some? I'm with Hydro on this one... more is more. Great work MrAzure! You're going to get a reputation for being extremely productive at this rate ;) We need that kind of effort on these lategame eras so thanks! I may be able to provide some additional ideas here too but I'm not sure everyone has the same outlook on the world enough to agree that those things should be included. (I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist and superhuman genre buff.)

Sorry, meant to say majority, definantly not some! And you know what I'd be interested in.... A thread where people post their games of when they got to modern/transhuman era. That way, us (I know you're out there:groucho:) who lack patience or proper computers can pick up on it, and enjoy the luxuries of the transhuman era!:D

So you're saying we need some Transhuman era scenarios generated? I'm not much of a scenario designer but I know some like to get into modding that kind of thing. And there's been some cries for it in the C2C forums so it'd be neat if we had a couple individuals decide to pick up on that need.

There are actually 44 Techs.

Strategyonly has me doing all the TECH xmls (TechInfos, GameText, Quotes etc..) and ill submit everything to Hydro so he can double check and review them. Im curently a "Trainee" as a Techs guy, and after he reviews them he will upload them.

After numerous errors i finally got everything to show up and understand the whole process! (I had to put the Quotes XML in XML/Text instead of Modules/MrAzure and apply alpha channel to the art files)

I should have all the Techs done by Saturday at the latest.

Here is a preview of the 1st Tech I successfully did. Now that i know what im doing its lightspeed ahead! :)

Im using Notepad++ with wordwrap enabled for the XML files

@MrAzure

That's great! Harnessing all your enthusiasm and ideas is awesome! One thing I have noticed when I went from "mod pesterer" to "mod modder" is that you can only add your ideas as fast as you can mod. You also gain an insight into what you can do and what you can't. However with the help of other modders the line of what you can't do is very far away.

I look forward to all your future contributions and am sure your ideas will make C2C even more rich and diverse. I am very impressed by your ideas and even am shocked that I did not come up with many of them already. I am so glad you are helping and want to help with C2C.

Hopefully out co-creation shall make C2C better than either one of us could imagine and with a little healthy debate and brainstorming we can come up with some awesome features for C2C.

On a side not I was not sure what to think of you when you first posted. So many loose ideas it was hard to keep up. But I think as time as gone on both you have learned the ropes and I have learned to follow your insanely brilliant posts.

:thumbsup::pat:

Thunderbrd, not exactly scenarios, but that is nice as well. I was talking about where people post games of them entering the modern era. It would be better for us to test out new additions to the mod in the modern era, as the majority of us never get there, I believe. We all stop at about the Classical era.

@MrAzure: Great Job, you are learning how to code things! I found that it is much easier to get people to listen to ideas if I can actually make the ideas.:) I just want to add that you came around at exactly the right time to be having future stuff ideas, as Koshling plans on adding a multi-map prototype in a couple weeks. The ideas you have are just amazing, and the art is also nice.

Do we have anything that would cover Virtual Democracy? It's been used as a government type in the Call to Power games. To quote from Wikipedia's article on E-democracy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-democracy#Electronic_direct_democracy):

Electronic direct democracy (EDD) is the strongest form of direct democracy, in which people are involved in the legislative function. Many advocates think that also important to this notion are technological enhancements to the deliberative process. Electronic direct democracy is sometimes referred to by many other names, such as open source governance and collaborative governance.

EDD requires electronic voting or some way to register votes on issues electronically. As in any direct democracy, in an EDD, citizens would have the right to vote on legislation, author new legislation, and recall representatives (if any representatives are preserved).

50% of Transhuman Era complete

I have done all Techinfos, quotes, civilopedia, and art for the new techs from Space Tourism to Railgun. I redid the Tech requirements agin by scratch and redid tech requirements for all the original techs. I am taking a quick rest for rest of day then ill work on the later half.

Added Digitilized Fabrics and Machine Binaurals

I actually made most of this pedia up.
Digitalized fabrics are made of exotic properties and metamerials that are twined with digital wires that feel and behave like regular cloth. They are the next generation of "wearable computers", and with advances in machine learning, nuerotechnology, augmented reality, exosleleton design, they are simply a wearable "Iron Man" that is both comfortable and virtually indistinguishable from regular fabrics, but emits colored light. [PARAGRAPH:2]Iron Man is a fictional character, a superhero who appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer-editor Stan Lee. [PARAGRAPH:2] Digitilized fabrics can be used in almost any senario fabrics are used, but they are extremely popular as clothes, especially by cberpunk teenagers. Instead of shirts having ink designs, the designs are made of colored light, because the fabrics are made of trillions of woven transistors and digital wires, and when they are powered on they emit a broad spectrum of light .If augumented glasses or contacts are worn by people nearby, a personalized design can be shown to them as long as they have augmentation online. A popular pattern is the Tron pattern, based on the popular Tron movies of the early 21st centuary. [PARAGRAPH:2]A great benefit over ordinary wearable computer is the ability to multi-task. It is not necessary to stop what you are doing to use the device; it is augmented into all other actions. These devices can be incorporated by the user to act like a prosthetic. It can therefore be an extension of the user’s mind and/or body in the future when portable exocortex networks are commercicialized.[PARAGRAPH:2]The main reason Digitilized fabrics were invented was because of the demand super athletes.[PARAGRAPH:2] Outdoor sports equipment has evolved thoroughly over the years, from simple designs crafted out of everyday materials like wood and twine to advanced, highly specialized gear composed of space-age materials like carbon and Kevlar. This evolution has empowered generation upon generation of elite athletes to push their sports to more difficult terrain, more distant locations and more awe-inspiring feats. The better the gear, the better the sport.

Basically will destroy the music industry and concerts. This is hearing music inside your brain and it controls your biofeedback system to give you an "aura" when listening to music..This also meets the "natural language processing" requirement needed for AI that means it can understand and decypher the spoken word.. It also includes techs that enable natural hearing to robots, just like machine vision gives eyes to robots..

Buildings i can think of are Aura nightclub, Natural language research center, virtual butler, and any robot that understands human speech..virtual customer service, virtual doctor, virtual secretary etc..

will rewrite it..
Machine Binaurals is a combination of technologies in the branch of acoustics, brain headphones that deliver maximum quaity audio, new digital instruments that manipulate a person's biofeedback system, and in the branch of artificial intelligence natural language processing.
[PARAGRAPH:2]Natural language processing (NLP) is a field of computer science, artificial intelligence and linguistics concerned with the interactions between computers and natural human languages. [PARAGRAPH:2]An automated online assistant providing customer service on a web page, an example of an application where natural language processing is a major component.[PARAGRAPH:2]Specifically, it is the process of a computer extracting meaningful information from natural language input and/or producing natural language output. In theory, natural language processing is a very attractive method of human–computer interaction. [PARAGRAPH:2]Natural language understanding is sometimes referred to as an AI-complete problem because it seems to require extensive knowledge about the outside world and the ability to manipulate it.[PARAGRAPH:2]The following is a list of some of the most commonly researched tasks in NLP. Note that some of these tasks have direct real-world applications, while others more commonly serve as subtasks that are used to aid in solving larger tasks. [PARAGRAPH:2]Automatic summarization: Produce a readable summary of a chunk of text. Often used to provide summaries of text of a known type, such as articles in the financial section of a newspaper.[PARAGRAPH:2]Coreference resolution: Given a sentence or larger chunk of text, determine which words ("mentions") refer to the same objects ("entities"). Anaphora resolution is a specific example of this task, and is specifically concerned with matching up pronouns with the nouns or names that they refer to. For example, in a sentence such as "He entered John's house through the front door", "the front door" is a referring expression and the bridging relationship to be identified is the fact that the door being referred to is the front door of John's house (rather than of some other structure that might also be referred to).

Do we have anything that would cover Virtual Democracy? It's been used as a government type in the Call to Power games. To quote from Wikipedia's article on E-democracy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-democracy#Electronic_direct_democracy):

Yes i call it Binary Legislation. But I can include a tech and call it Novus Democracy (new democracy..can include virtual and transhuman). I can add it after artificial intelligence.

@MrAzure: Great Job, you are learning how to code things! Thank you for your kind words. Before yesterday i have only coded 1 Tech, and now i did around 20 lol!
Yes i agree, once you are able to code your ideas and show them how they wor it is easier to get your point across.

Hydro thank you for your sincere compliments. A long time ago i bought a game called Empire Earth and I feel in live with it. I would dream of all the techs i wanted to add, and daydreamed how the future may look like. My dad would take me to the libary almost every sunday and i would check out a bunch of books, i love learning about our world. I agree, a healthy debate is needed to fire up the creative process (groupthink kills innovation), and i see a bright future for C2C. I also agree because I, doing the coding to my own creation I have creation control over it and can share my vision the best possible way. I noticed you live in California, well I live in Southern Cali (Inland Empire).
