Monty can play a fierce wide game with highly productive small-medium cities, and his abilities are well suited to bulldozing AI settlements. If early scouting reveals a decent Faith source, there's things to be said for going Liberty + Piety and filling the world with 8 pop cities with a Garden and 50% of the population wotking as Scientists.
