Favorite Civ with optimal conditions

Spain is the Petra of civs. Obviously if you have one patch of flat desert next to your cap it isn't very good, but the ridiculous effect of Spain is more felt when they do get a wonder, which is far more often than you might think.
People think of Petra as ridiculous because of the potential. Spain's the same way. One time during a random game I got Spain with Solomon's mine within 3 turns walking of my capital. The expand I bought immediately had more hammers than any capital the turn it was founded, and I rushed my continent well before turn 80. The snowball effect was absurd. Likewise, it's possible to get a flat coastal start as Spain with pearls all around and no wonders anywhere. This is quite terrible, but people are more afraid of playing against a wonder Spain than they are willing to risk it.
