We're trying to get some help from the community for making Mac and Linux apps. However, in the meantime, we've significantly improved playing turns via the website. Here's how to do it:

  1. Navigate to the game overview page for any game where it's your turn and click the giant "Play Turn" button.
  2. Choose the "Download Save File" option and press Go.
  3. When prompted, download the save file and place it in your Documents/Civilization V/Saves/hotseat directory.
  4. Load and complete your turn in Civ V and then create a new save.
  5. Locate the new save file in the hotseat saves directory on your system.
  6. Drag the save file from your file manager to any browser window where you're logged into Multiplayer Robot.
    • You can drop it anywhere in Multiplayer Robot – you don't even have to be on the page for your game.
    • When you're holding the file over the page, it should tint blue and have a prompt that says "drop save to submit."
    • You can drag and drop multiple saves at the same time!
  7. A thin, blue progress bar will fill up at the bottom of the page. When it fills up, you're all done!
    • You can drag and drop additional saves any time, even while an upload is in progress.
