What does the Era of Great Work Depend On?

Hi. Great fan of the game. I would like to know, is the era of the Great Work depending on when the Great Artist was created or when you press the Create Great Work button on the Artist?

I believe it's when you create the work itself.

It has the side effect of making getting theming bonuses for Uffinizi & Broadway much easier than it would otherwise be.
