Looking for a story

I read this very very cool story some time ago. I can't remember who wrote it or what civ they were playing, all I remember is it involved the vassalization of (and in the story, marriage to) Isabella. During the marriage in the story, Isabella was doing sneaky stuff behind the scenes.

Does this sound at all familiar to anyone? I'd love to be able to find this one again. It were a cracking good read, like.

The closest thing I can think of is the Pangean Wars series, where Napoleon marries Lizzy. Sorry.

Damn, I can't believe it's proving so impossible to find! It really was brilliant! I've looked everywhere I can think of, too.

There was one where Isabella and her husband were having lunch on top of the pyrimids, but I think it was too short to be the one your talking about
