If the file is missing it should be automatically recreated with default values when you start the game

May i guess that you are running WinVista/7? If yes, then make sure that you have admin rights and that you also execute the game with admin rights. If it doesn't have the rights to write into the folders (which it sould in the Documents folder, but you never know), then it's not able to create the .ini.

I tried to delete the (or rather rename) my config file.. and it recreated it for me.
It will only take about 10 seconds and my problems will be solved.
See attached. But if your system doesn't recreate the file automatically, you may be having other problems.
