How do i increase Score and how to increase Gold?

Hi

I was playing multiplayer the other day, the settings were 120 turn limit. when you reach the 120 turns, the winner is decided by whoever has the highest score right, so in that game i was coming 1st in the score at 3700BC, but as time went on i moved down until i was last. When there was 20 turns left, i built wonders, but the other people still could get high scores without building any wonders. So i was wondering how do you increase your score without building wonders.

Another Question is how do you increase gold income? do you just build a lot of cottages??

The score is based on your population, tech's discovered, and wonders built, so it doesn't matter how many wonders you have if you've got the smallest population and you're way behind on tech.

To get money, yeah.. basically build more cottages and make sure they're being worked. Holy cities with shrines give you lots of money as well, as long as the religion is present in lots of cities.
