Pre-Builds to What?

Well since we will be starting two, prebuilds this upcoming TC, we need to begin/continue discussion on what they will be changed to. Our first subject would be changing one of them to SunTzu's when we can.

I really don't think we should. The capital is 15spt. If we're going to war, that's our PRIMARY SWORD CITY!!! (a sword every 2 turns). Zojoji is the same at 10spt (sword every 3). I still say no to the prebuilds. The AI has already started building them. We're already too late in the wonder race - one that is bound to cascade again very shortly when other civs finish the Great Lighthouse. (Remember the Iroquois building it? Others are too).

I agree about the Great Lighthouse. I believe the Babs were building it. So it should just work on the Palace until we get close to 400 shields. Most of our cities have Barracks in them as they are real cheap to build, so I'm not looking at the AoW as a major bonus. Leonado's would be good, as reduced upgrade costs are always welcome. But I would really like to build the Sistine Chapel or JS Bach's Cathedral. Those would be the best additions to our nation as a whole.

But that's a whole other term. I mean, Do we really want to build a palace in Zojoji, only to come up a few turns short in science?

I agree with CT. There is no way we can play wonder-builder and war-factory at the same time - we won't have enough shields. If you voted yes to prebuilds and yes to war now or soon, that obviously isn't going to work. Choose war or peace. Not both. We need units if we go to war. And we need them now. Say no to prebuilds. Yes to swords and samurai.

I say ignore that wonder for now until we're making absolute gains. No sense in benig like the AI and building a wonder in your most productive city whilst there's 1 spear defending, and no units to send there to defend from an attack. If another AI builds it, we can take it.
