Haven't played it yet. According to a GameSpy review, Transport Tycoon Deluxe is a better game.

I usually don't take the word of Gamespy, but I don't have a computer that's old enough to run Transport Tycoon Deluxe and I need a money game

TTDX works on my system, I'm running XP too... and honestly if they say TTDX, a game that came out over a decade ago, is better than this game, I'd be inclined to believe them.

Isn't this game already included with Railroad Tycoon 3?

Wow! A computer not OLD enough!!! Most of the time people don;t like their computer because it's too old.

There is several things wrong with TTDL but most of those problems were all because of technological limitations of the day. Locomotion has several good things(from what I can see in the demo) but they shoulda just taken TTDL, update it completly and put in all the new stuff, such as cliffs, water above sea level, nifty bridges, subway lines(I think) and so forth

I'll probably pick it up if it isn't the usual new release price (IE $60+)simply because I can't get TTDL to work, and that gets old once you reach that stupid vehicle limit

Transport Tycoon Deluxe works on modern machines with a patch that can, amongst other things, increase the vehicle limit.

I bought this game for £6.50 the other day (~$9/€9), and I dont see why there is/was so much criticism of the game. It's great

Fair nuff there isn't much of a change from TTDL, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It runs on XP without any problems.

Just wondering if anyone wants some multiplayer action ? I played my brother a couple of times on LAN, but he has buggered off home now so there's no one to play against. MP is much more fun than single player...

No CivCube, no. That would be LocoCommotion, what appears to be a repetitive puzzle game. This thread would be about Chris Sawyer's Locomotion.

Anyway, they have a ton of copies at my Wal-Mart selling for about thirty bucks.

Two words about Locomotion: Biiiiig letdown. TTD is better, especially with the patch, as Chukchi said. Among other things it enables you to play TTDX on an XP computer. You won't believe what else they've been able to do.

Also check out OpenTTD ( an Open Source remake of TTD) and the Transport Tycoon Forums.
