Which came first kursk or bulge?
Could you guys tell me which battle was first and when?
And did the russians knew about the german offensive at kursk and made preparation? |

Kursk was in July 1943 (03:00 July 5th).
Ardennes offensive ("Battle of the bulge") was December 1944. Kursk was one and a half years earlier. Yes, the Russians knew. IIRC A "swiss spy" (actually the British secret service) had given the Russians this information. Hitler had his troops massed together in the hours leading towards the attack (planned at 03:00). These were thus very vulnerable. At 02:00 the Russians struck first; with Kattusha's. The Wehrmacht had nowhere to go except forward, straight in the arms of the waiting Russian defensive. Operation "Zitadelle" was the biggest disaster for the Germans in WW II.
