Are You Getting Pirates!?

As many of you may know, the developers have almost finished work on Pirates!; its release date is scheduled for November 16th.

If you’ve followed the game’s progress, by now you should know whether you’ll be getting the game or not.

This poll is just a statistical thing, I was interested in. I hope as many of you vote as possible!

I'll wait for a little bit ; read some reviews / posts. If it looks good, I'll get it (though $50 is a bit on the high side for me for one game). I don't really like non-turn based games, but hopefully this one is different...and hopefully Firaxis won't release a patch 2 days after the game comes out.

It all depends on what other people say!

Probably not. I already spend enough time working, and playing Civ3...

I'll buy it, but it is really a matter of when. Since it isn't SW related, I will probably wait a bit before buying it.

I'm not too interested.

Interesting to note is that my birthday is on November 16.
Metroid Prime 2 will be released the day before, meaning that the game will hit stores on my birthday, and Baten Kaitos is also being released on November 16. Generally, November is the best month for games, and the best month to have a birthday in.

I'll most likely get it. Once I've got some spare cash of course.

I doubt it since I don't think I will be buying many games in the near future since I don't have the time to play them all.

My parents just blew a big wad on Evil Genius and Myst IV, so Pirates will have to come after a long while.

I got the game and it rocks. There doesn't seem to be any glitches or bugs from what I've seen. I played about 3 hours last night and it ran pretty smoothly.

Firaxis was smart about this game. It plays virtually identically to the original but with updated graphics. Some old features have been deleted and some new features added.

Overall my first impression is good about this game.

Yes, I also agree that Firaxis went smart with this game. Remakes should stay true to the originals, and they did that. That's why this game is so great.
