I would rather be Republic or Communism than Democracy, it's just bad for wars, which we're undoubtedly going to be in. We need to get Military Tradition to strengthen our armies.

The other continent is ahead, and we're obviously keeping up with THEM. Our continent is behind in techs. So, we have the upper hand, and can get to cavs first. We have an opportunity to run away with the lead on our continent.

How exactly will the votes be combined? At this time Printing Press has 6 first level votes and 3 second level vote. Gunpowder has 6 first level votes and no second level votes. Does this mean they are tied or does Printing Press have an edge.

If they are tied and Gunpowder takes the lead in first level votes does this mean that Chemistry (based on current votes) basically has a lock on the second tech?

first all of the same first choices are combine, then whichever wins that, then between those(if gunpowder is first choice, then all gun powder votes are looked at) and between those we decide the second one

the reason im doing it this way is because we are always behind with these poll, and if this doesnt work i wont do it again

Not that I want to go the military route, but some of the best techs are after Chemistry. If we can get to Physics first, then we'll be lucky. Let the AI research the Printing Press way, we'll research the non-optional techs, we'll do some trading and leave the AIs in the MA when we enter the IA. (Also - I don't think wonders are that important right now, unless all our cities have all the improvements they need - if we do have to build a wonder, just build one, like ToE or Hoover Dam).

And, thanks for making this a poll of the next two techs.

Trade agrees with the President here. The New World seems to be focused on peace techs. The AI on our land is stupid. Lets benifit on both these things and take advantage of their peacefulness and our AIs stupidity. Lets get some cavs!

Printing Press --> Democracy

It's to late to start up the cavalry path, and democracy is a VERY expensive technology. Think of the gold we can get by trading it off. What would researching up the military tradition line do for us? Nothing, we have the strongest units right now, lets not take away that advantage by being stupid. Stick with samurai.

I agree with Strider. The warmongers wanted to rush straight to Chivalry before, and now they want us to go for Military Tradition. We haven't even used our Samurai yet! Let's take a break from military research. Democracy all the way.
