anyone did a spaceship mod yet?
what do i have to pay attention? under the general settings i can choose how many parts are needed, which part links to which .pcx? can i edit this? what is when i add more then the originaly 10? |

A lot of mods have modified spaceships for victory conditions. The Ancient Mediteranean mod lets you build the Silk Road, for example, and Pentagenesis has another alternative. I've never heard of more than ten spaceship parts though. How did it work out when you tried it?

tha art files that require editing are in Art/Spaceship, in the Civilisation folder (not in conquest or PTW folder).
i think thats right... never tried to mod spaceship before |

The spaceship screen has hardcoded element to it... most difficult is figuring out which graphics will overlap, and which will get covered. Every file is a 1024 x 768 pcx, that can layer on top of the main pcx. I did it so long ago, I cannot remember which order it was.
I am pretty sure you have to have 10 parts, but if you want to make more per part, it will fill up the bar graph on the space ship screen when a part is completed, but will not display the graphic until all parts of the parts are built. |
