When you are posting the picture, DON'T do the copy/paste thing! Use the Vb [img] tags, by right-clicking on the picture, and copy and pasting the image url into your [img] tags, like so:

You want it as your avatar? Okay, but you need to have registered for 30 days and have 30 posts before you get a custom one. I'll make you a 70x70 version.

EDIT: It lost a lot of quality when it shrunk though.
