Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had worked out a utility to change the expansionism level of other civs. It's becoming very annoying, as other civs will often build cities next to my colonies, cut off my frontier cities, or build all around my borders, often taking many resources. If someone can tell me of a utility to edit this, please reply to this thread, or send me a message.

i dont know of any, but i do know that if you expand more than them and do the same to their colonies it is productive and its like an early cure to the disease (i dont remember the sentence.. :/).
anyhow, expand and prosper and the computers expantionismmsmsmsms wont bug you as much as it used to. hope that helps , bye

Crush them, make peace, get everything they have and destroy them. That will give you a shift. No peaceful civilization of the early ages have survived... I have destroyed the English already. They were too close

That has often gotten on my nerves, but if you keep a higher culture level, many of their cities will rebel and join you. Also I found that if you have just about all of a continent and they come on the edges, you can just take their cities and before they can bring an invading force in, get peace for a world map or so. Now if there was only a cure for their idiotic trading...... Japan was insulted when I offered them Halite, Dyes, Ivory and Incense..... and they just had to give me some spare spices.

yeah something about their trade is completely weird.
but I squeeze every penny out of them by selling technologies, I earn about 1050 gold each day just from all the civs around me. China needs Oil and Oranium, and they will give a lot of money for it

Soren Johnson concluded that the only way to keep the AI competetive with a human player was to make them use the ICS strategy.
I never mind when they squeak cities around my capital because they are doing my work for me. |

ICS = Infinite City Sprawl. It is the tactic of building cities till you can't cram any more anywhere. The AI does this to prevent the human player from using it - they do have you outnumbered!
