I was wondering if there was any way to change the resolution for Civ3. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Yes, there is. You can get it to the resolution you are currently using for your computer. Say you use 1280 x 1024 (the default is 1024 x 768). Go to your C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/ folder, and click on the Civilization3.ini (the icon looks like a notepad, sort of). Once you open it up in a text editor, add the line: KeepRes=1. And when you load the game up next, it'll be in your resolution, and you'll be able to see more of the map, etc. Your welcome.

If you want a "windowed" version, after the KeepRes=1 line, use Video Mode= (with the space) and then a res like 1024 (if you have a 1200 resolution). It'll appear "windowed", but without the window title bar, status bar, etc..

You're welcome.
For reference, these also work in Play the World and Conquests as well. |

Thanks, yeah I was actually asking about Conquests, but I forgot to mention. I just assumed most of everybody who frequents this site would be using Conquests. Thanks!
