How will Canada be remembered in history?

500 years from now, will Canada be remembered as the world's leading peacemaker of our time, or will Canada be remembered as a tiny fish riding the underbelly of the American shark?

I think it will be a lot of "different from America" talk. Good press (like peace keeping) are forgotten, bad press endures...

500 years is a long time. They might become the #1 power during that time.

We are spreading freedom and democracy in places like Iraq and Afghanistan so we don't have to deal with them here at home.

In which case we'll be remembered as the premier world power of this time?

It may be possible, too.. Canada's resource rich in an age of scarcity

I think they won't be rembered much at all by the majority of people, they will only be remembered by those who choose to specialize in the time period.

It will depend on how Canada evolves. If Canada would be the next superpower, for instance (although nowadays it doesn't appear to be very close to that goal), this age will be rememered as the "foundation age" and some storys about good administration, growing population and so will be told.
