audio help

every time i load a saved game, i lose the audio. anybody know how to fix this or what files in the game might pertain to the audio. i downloaded this game so i dont have a disc. thanks.

This may explain it. Get a legal version. But don't see how that should be the cause. A full Civ2 (original) install requires less than 40 MB, so the sound should be included. Check out the main Civ2 directory, and see if there is a "Sound" folder. If you haven't that explains the lack of sounds. If you have it, check its contents. If it's empty or only has a few files in it, that's the problem. It should contain a few dozens of *.wav-files.

If you don't have the sound files, the solution is simple: Buy a legal copy. That's what I would recommend anyway.
