Edit map in saved game
I have a problem!
 I have looked at various editors, etc. (BTW, you guys rock. I only WISH I could thrash code so righteously...) Anyway - none of them seem to do the only thing I really want to do. Namely, I sometime want to make a minor tweak to map of a game that is already in progress. You know what I mean. Sometimes you find that spot where you just HAVE to have a city, but the map has a one tile lake right there. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to change it to some type of land? Does anyone know how to get saved games, not just bic files, into the map editor? Am I missing something obvious here? (It wouldn't be the first time.) Alternatively, is there any chance that one of you programming gods could make a utility that could change the freakin' map of a game in progress? |

Well, at the moment there are no editor that can edit the map in a savegame yet. However, since a patch is coming out most likely this weekend, lets hope that it includes an updated editor.
Alternatively, those people than creating the savegame editors are in the process of incorporating this feature into their editors already. So even if Firaxis don't come up with one you should still be able to do that by sometime next week I think
