Sorry, no PTW files will work with the Mac version of Civ3. if the scenario includes a scenario file with the extension ".bix" (or ".biq" for Conquests) then it won't work. Only ".bic" scenario files will work, and you need to be running Mac version 1.29b2 to use them.

Have you patched to 1.29beta2?

That is necessary to run the scens.

the ones ive tried

ive tried a number of the *civ3* senarios from this index ;http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=46967, including rise of rome, ACW, WW1 and WW2 with no luck,
ps sorry bout the multiple threads
the ACW required some art and text file malipulation so i can see why that may not have worked... thanks for the help
ps. Civ3 GOTY is version 1.29 ?right?

I've checked out Rise of Rome before when someone asked about it, and it worked for me. I don't know the others, but I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't run as long as you have the right Civ3 version.

If a scenario includes a set of art and text files to be distributed into your Civ3 installation, I recommend you try the following:

1. Make sure you have a clean copy of Civ3 version 1.29b2. Use the updater in my signature to update any earlier version such as 1.16 or 1.21.

2. Make a duplicate of your Civ3 version 1.29b2 installation and rename the folder so that you know what it is after you mod it.

3. Follow the link in my signature for the Drag and Drop mod installer. This will take a folder containing a set of mod files and, if they are in the right hierarchy to match the folder structure in the Civ3 directory, it will drop all the files and folders into the right locations. This saves all that manual file manipulation that can go so horribly wrong.
