PlayStation 3 unveiled!

I like the look of PS3 better than XBOX 360. The controller looks alien... not not sure how it will feel in-hand.

Does that mean up to eight, but one controller is wired, or is the USB for something else?
If the USB is for something else, why only seven wireless controllers?

I just wonder about the price tag of this. (I looked at the site, but I didn't find anything.) PS3 sounds like something a millionaire gamer would put together himself.

Beautiful!

now we only gotta wait a year for it to come out.

I'm getting excited.

How bout this?

PS3 launches with the latest in the GTA series.....

Is this the end for PC gaming?

oh ya..the PS2 launched for about $400 CDN in my part of the world. My guess will be $250>$300 US at launch time.I'm a little more concerned with the price of ps3 games.Ps2 games are fetching at least $50 per title up here. Most are more than that.....

Allrighty this controller is getting alot of flak

Looks pretty ergonomic to me.Besides resembling some sort of adult toy,I think its gonna feel great..when used for gaming that is ..it reminds me a tad of the N64 controller.I saw bad things for that one but was way wrong.

The PS3 looks really, really cool. Then I saw the controller. :ack

But the PS3 has some really nice graphics, especially that Killzone 2 trailer. Beats the hell out of the Xbox 360, that's for sure.

But Sony always lies about their systems. I bet it won't have half the stuff listed

Wow. The PS3 will launch at $465 US Dollars?!?

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/615/615745p1.html

It hasn't been confirmed yet, so it's probably false, but DAMN that is high. Sony might be able to cut it down to $350 at most... which is still really expensive. I don't want to spend more than $300 for a console...

One of my classmates thinks it looks like a boomerang. He even said that as it is wireless it'll be good for throwing when you're beaten by someone.

Looks kind of like a scanner. And the Controller does not look ergonomic, I can't see how you could get your thumbs in the right position without bending my wrists too much. Seems really powerful-too powerful to come out soon.

Unfortuantely, no. There's no controller ports on the PS3, since all the controllers for the system will be wireless. Otherwise, that... thing... wouldn't be such a problem.

I did an article for Tha Sauce* today about the PS3 controller, and suggested a design of my own. If a boomerang can work, why not a frisbee? Link to article.
