i wonder how many people actually have alien crossfire
it costs quite a lot nowadays.

I have only the SMAC demo, but I will be considering ordering SMAC complete and SMACX. I will need a hardcore video card to handle Civ4, but I won't be buying it until 2006.

It was the demo that first brought me into SMAC, and the SMAX demo that brought me into SMAX. Way to go!

If you have Crossfire, can you still play plain SMAC without uninstalling Crossfire? Vaguely planning on looking for Mac games for xmas ...

I can't speak for you Mac addicts, but over in PC land, we can play either SMAC or SMAX without uninstalling.

I got ACx and AC proper today from EBgames for $20 total. Both games were used of course. So far I'm enjoying the game a lot.
