DFB Cup Final: FC Bayern München 2 - 1 Schalke 04

Anybody else seen the DFB Cup Final? Too many interruptions for my taste, with lots of little fouls and stops of play. But the refereeing was aweful! In the first half Pizarro's goal was not offside, Vermant saved the ball with his hands and pretended to have been hit on the head. The penalty for Ailton was no way a foul worthy of a penalty, but later on a Bayern player was fouled in the penalty area but there was no penalty kick. And Salihamidzic's goal was offside. But a very deserved win for Bayern which could easily have been higher. Schalke should have started crossing towards Bordon like they did at the end a little earlier.

I saw it, horrible match that was. At least the better team won.

And dan, there's nothing wrong with living in 2004...

I saw clips of it, it wasn't that great, but it wasn't horrible either...

Bayern did the double this year, but Werder Bremen finished third and qualified for the Champion's League 3rd Qualifying Round. HSV finished 8th, but I fancy they will get an Intertoto Cup spot.
