Can't find Civ3.ini File.....
I am trying to make a few modifications to my civ3.ini file (like change the resolution, turn off the starting video, etc), and I can't seem to find my civ3.ini file.
 I even went so far as to run a search on my computer for the file, and nothing turned up. Any idea why this is not showing up? And any idea how to fix the problem? My only thought is for somebody to send me their civ3.ini file, but I wonder how the game is running without that file...Edit: I found the conquests configuration file that solved the problem. Of course, now I can't remember how to turn off the starting video... Any help on that? Last edited by Yaype; Jun 15, 2005 at 06:20 PM. |

If you haven't started a game yet, you won't find it. You can just create it. As you've learned, it's in the subdirectory for the game you're playing, so the PTW will be in the \PTW directory, and conquests in the \Conquests directory.
To shut off the intro movie, and/modify the line PlayIntro=0. The rest of the .ini tweaks can be found here. |
