Luxuries

Sorry if this belonged in Strategy Articles.
I realize when I get my first luxury, a citizen becomes happy , so why when I get more and more, the luxuries dont have any effect?

EX: I have 9 furs, and it acts as if I only have one.

To make more than 1 citizen happy you need multiple different luxuries.

You could trade furs for spices from another civ and 2 people will be happy.

Also marketplaces increase the happiness effect if you have more than 2 different luxuries.

Yup each unique lux adds a happy face and the market multiplies that after you get the third type. See the Pedia for the exact bonus. Extra copies of any given luxs adds no happy faces, just a bonus tile or trade bait.
