MadV4- Sumerian OCC 20K

Rules:
You play the first 20 turns and then we'll succede. The settings are:
Civ: Sumeria
Land: Your choice
Climate: Your choice
Diffuculty: TBD
AI agression: Your choice
Map size: Your choice

Roster:
MadV
Mathias
MjM
CVH
Methos

Each player plays 20 turns due to the lack of stuff to do.
Our goal is to get a 20K city just with one city.
(This is meant to be a quick SG)

I haven't done 20K OCC for a while, so I'd love to join. Regent or Monarch difficulty preferred. Most of my OCC games have been on Monarch.

Ive never actually finished an OCC game , so it would be a great chance to do this one. Sumeria is one of my more favirite civs. Regent or Monarch would be best. I play Emperor almost up to Demi God. Maybe even deity if we finish Com2 - n00bie Deities

I tried it once and the GLB is a must need. We're going to be backward alot due to the lack of beakers.
So beeline for Lita and then for Oracle, ToA, Pyramids...

Oh and about the other things:

Civ: Sumeria
Land: Archipelago 80% slow tech pace
Climate: Arid and Cold and young world , we want a bad world for those AI's
Diffuculty: Regent mostlikely
AI agression: Normal
Map size: Standard? maybe even large?

We are not going to be backward. The Great Library is high priority, but only because of its 6 culture per turn.

Beeline for Literature is not the best path. We need to get out of despotism asap, so we should aim for one of the government techs first. If we have a coastal city, the Colossus is #1, followed by the Oracle. Otherwise, Oracle first, then Mausoleum for GA.

Oh, I get it. Regent, Sumeria, map settings of our choice (I assume standard map) and we each play a game to 3000 BC, then vote on which to continue with? Sounds good to me.

Sedentary barbs means no camps, so the AI will be broke throughout the ancient times...

OK, i got a quality start.
I first built a Enkindu for exploration and started on the Collousus (spelling).
Pic at 3000BC:

My plan is to research alpha for curragh, then CB -> mysticism for Oracle, then writing toward philo/lita

Mathias, i know the AI would be broke, but i useally play sedentary because no barbs would come and pillage a wonder on the last turn. I hate barbs...

If room opens up I wouldn't mind joining.

I've played OCC Regent before and science isn't a problem at all. You will become the tech leader and easily bypass everyone. I would almost suggest playing Monarch so it isn't so easy.

Oky doky here we go:

I went with:

Size: standard
Climate: Arid
Temp: Cool
Age: Normal ( 5 bil )
No barbs
80% archipelago

After rolling a million plus starts ( barely exaggerating ) I get a nice one.

Play to 3000 BC.
Max on Alpha. We get Alpha in 8 turns. We have one Wine already connected and a irrigated wheat. No visible Beegees but plenty of hills and forests. Fresh water and coastal , started work on Colossus after one Enkidu for exploring.
One of the downsides is that we can see a wheat that we would be wasting but we wouldnt be fresh water if we wanted it , so its not a bad trade. Nice start.

Does that mean I'm in? If so, thanks MV. Looking forward to this. OCC games are extremely fun.
