I know many have said that the mac editor does not have the option like the pc version to place civs on the map. But there is. It is tricky but it works.
In the player properties where you have the option to select player 1, player 2, player 3, and so on...select the order you like. Then after you've selected which civ goes with which player, place the civ locations in the same order. remember, the first civ is always you. I think this works. Let me know if it doesn't work for you. |

Well... sadly it doesn't work. And if I remember correctly Brad once said that it's not even supposed to work, because he never implemented it in the Mac version, which still is v1.21 based (although the 'player starting location' entry exists).
