Please vote on this
According to RegentMan in the recent vote on turn progression, and supported by the current ruleset, abstentions count the same as no votes do on rule amendment proposals. For example, a rule amendment vote that ends with a result of Yes - 2, No - 0, Abstain - 2 would fail because it did not receive the necessary 2/3 of all teams needed to pass, even though 100% of teams who chose to vote supported it. I therefore propose that abstentions not be counted for or against that 2/3 requirement through an amendment of article 5.2.2. Here is the exact wording of my proposed ruleset change, with changes in bold:
Quote: 5.2.2 - Procedure An existing rule may be amended or removed after successfully receiving a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of all remaining teams who choose to cast a vote for or against the amendment. The good news is I learned how to use the strike code today.

We shall vote yes to this and of course we had to have one of the Grumpys trying to throw a monkey wrench in the works.

It would be more funny if we abstain,
But I do not see why not voting yes |
