Turkey is doing great. Here the media is not interested in the competition but the U-17s are playeing better then the regular `A` side. 5-1 against China is a massive result. China U-19 beat the Turkey U-19 2-1 in the U-19 World Championship 3 months ago. So a great generation is coming I think.

Has anyone else been impressed by the Mexicans. I've only seen them play once. They looked real quality.

To those that have been following this Cup, how has Anderson of Brazil been doing? He's a 17 year old from Atlético Mineiro (the same team as Ronaldinho), and many club fans have been saying that he has the potential to be better than the Barcelona star.

He's supposed to be joining Porto in January, hence the question.

They're from Grêmio Bruno Ronaldinho isn't called 'gaúcho' for nothing! Only someone from Rio Grande do Sul is called like that; not someone from Minas Gerais! Now Ronaldinho Fenômeno.. he played in Belo Horizonte.. but for Atlético's archrival Cruzeiro.

As for Anderson.. I haven't seen him play on the world cup and since Grêmio fell to the serie B last december I kind of lost track of him in Brazil as well. I didn't really spot him before either.. I was more focussed on Robinho and hoping Atlético Paranaense would lose all their games

S***! Even though I know all that stuff about paulistas, cariocas, gaúchos, mineiros, pernambucanos, bahianos, sergipanos, etc., I always confuse Grémio with Atlético Mineiro. I don't know why, they're not even similar words. Do you remember a question I once asked in the quiz thread, where I posted a video of Ronaldinho Gaúcho doing an amazing ability in Brazil before moving to Europe? I gave one hint saying that the player was from Atlético Mineiro.

Turkey were beaten by Brazil. 3-4.

We conceeded a goal in the 13th second! Went down to 10 man in the first quarter and were 3 goals behind at half time. Then in the second half Turkey scored 3 goals. Nuri`s goal was magnificent. Another sending off sealed Turkey`s fate. Brazil scored at the last minute.(Therewas a foul I by the Brazilian player I guess)
