My post was deleted by Rik, by the looks of things. (after checking things i found it was 29min earlier then it should have been
)As long as we have this thread we might as well look at why it got this late even with a chain of command.

Bit miffed at Regent_Man
... You must have trust sir ... ![]() We still had 3 hours to go and the Prez had already edited his post to indicated that in 2.30 hrs he would send the save ... (as per the rules ... if problems ask for extension then) ... In fact prez and i were discussing that very topic when RegentMan posted his Hurry Up ... Please be aware that this message is in no way sactioned by the rest of the team ... and was written with the ultimate of respect towards all admins ![]() EDIT - Actually works well with Aussies and Yanks on-line in the team to check and backup

GW did say that he will be able to play the save in time, perahps he could have said that it would have been best that the next in line of CoC take over.
@fe3333au, In the morning, I am never online, unless it is a weekday or public holiday, so it is not good for me, since i will be at work.

The problem (if you want to call it that) was that I insisted that I would get the save done in time - so the CoC was not activated.
Obviously – it was much closer than we all would like. For future reference, it may be easier to go ahead and let Ybbor (or whoever is our new Team Captain) play the save if I'm going to be pushing the 24 hour limit? I guess I didn't see this as quite the big problem that some others saw it. I was confident I could get the save done in time (and if for some reason I couldn't – I still had time to ask for an extension). I can certainly see how this would be a problem if no one had heard from me and the CoC was STILL not activated. But as it was – it seems to me like the system worked fine. At any rate – my computer is working again, and hopefully this won't come up again. I apologize for any stress I caused anyone... it may make you feel better to know that I was very stressed also!

I agree that the system seemed to be fine. I was a little agitated as the deadline approcahed because I did the math wrong on when your 2 1/2 hour forecast would fall. I thought that would place you playing less than an hour before the deadline.
Rereading the CoC, nothing gets activated until AFTER an extension is granted. Therefore, there wasn't even time for the Coc to come into effect. I think we all would have been upset had we not played in time, but I trust that if you (General W) say you'll play by a certain time, the save Will be played by then. Complete trust. @meleager: Thanks for crossposting an extension. I would have done the same. Better safe than sorry... Unless we'd get a chance to get Provo worked up
