Sticky consolidiation?

currently we have a dozen stickies. we can't possibly need that many. here is a list:

Spoiler for list:

any ideas on what to unsticky/merge?

my proposals:
unsticky welcome new team members- we can always bump it
put team absense registry into citizen list
put tech list and resource watch into through the looking glass (re-name?)

that would kill 4 threads leaving 8. which is still rpobably too many.

I like those suggestions – Also how about this…

"Instructions to the president" could be combined with the "Save Info thread", with ministers just posting their orders after the save update.
This makes that thread a bit more cluttered – but it if people want an un-adulterated view of the last few turns, they can look at the "State of the Empire" thread – assuming the next president continues the habit of dual posting to keep his term all in one place.

Feel free to hate this idea – (not sure how I feel about it myself) just trying to do my part to consolidate the stickys!

Redo the save info thread and merge it with the instructions thread like General W said above, however put this in enormous font:
"For Officials and Turn Players Only! This is NOT a dicsucssion thread!"

It would be best to create a new thread....

I'm on the fence about Resource List and Tech List and Citizen List

Basically, I think threads we rarely post in, but use for reference frequently, should remain stickied. Those threads that get posts regularly will naturally float to the top. Example: No need to sticky Looking Glass. That thing gets updated EVERY turn. Same thing with save info.

from the diplomat view i think the embassys should stay pending foreign chat can go cause team KISS never really tells anyone when a meeting is going to take place, it just sorta happens
new team members and citizen list can be merged
save info can be merged with constitution and intructions for the press (put the constitution in a spoiler as well as the citizens list)
so thats 6 sticks (counting the to be TNT embassy of course)

Good Idea about House Keeping ...

I would ...

Create a stickied Game Mechanics Civilopedia type of thread ... it will primarily be a reference guide for the team (stickied because it will rarely be bumped) and a merging of the following ...
>resource watch
>tech list

Unsticky Looking Glass as Grimsey is right it is bumped with every turn since I summarise as well ...

The Citizen stuff should be merged and stickied ... perhaps have information for new members as well ie. a link to Gen_W's flow chart

constitution should remain stickied ... and add Gen_W's flowchart

save info remain stickied as it is an archive of our history

instructions for the president stickied but I agree with adding a NOT DISCUSSION Thread somewhere ...

The embassies ... my idea was to have all relevant correspondence stored in these, not sure if it works so should they be stickied ? ... Don't Know

pending foreign chat meetings ... If meeting are to be formal and have AIM Whispers happening alongside the main negotiations ... this thread is neceassary for including all players who want to ... then it should remain stickied ...
* the comment about the recent KISS Chat not being advertised is that they are more diplomatic functions (cocktail parties) not really formal meetings if you like ... the Agreements all included the formal PM process and a structured meeting with sideline AIM ... so if this system of inclusion is to remain ... leave it stickied ... if not then we can Remove this thread altogether ...

@C_H ... the absence thread was my idea ... felt that most people would just spend time in MIA as opposed to UN ... (still feel that this is the case) and also feel that it is more relevant to have it here then one forum level up ...

I have created a thread called "Team resource." I beleive this can help with this thread. So far I have put the Tech and resource list into it so that we can still view these threads but have only one thread that will give us infomation about the game and our teams. What other things could we put in ti to declutter the forum?

Maybe we could have just these 4 threads…
(linked threads as the first posts, and then the thread would continue as indicated)
