Everyone getting it Wednesday should feel lucky. In my area, it seems no one gets new release games in before Thursdays. Not EB, not Gamestop, not Wal-Mart, Target, or anyone else. Only on rare occasions will it be sooner, and sometimes even slips until Friday. I've done the call-every-game-store-in-town routine enough times now that I'll rarely even bother trying before Thursdays any more.

I'll just be patiently waiting for my call from EB that my pre-order is in on Thursday, and call them if I haven't heard from them by my lunch break that day.

Ironically, I ordered it online as a gift for my dad who lives in CA, and I would bet he'll have it at least a day before me. Oh well.

I think on Wednesday or Thursday I'll create a poll asking when people actually got their pre-order. While everything I've been saying is correct to the best of my knowledge, it should be interesting to see if I was wrong in any way. Or at least, how accurate I was

Fine idea. Be sure NOT to create a choice that says, "It hasn't arrived yet." It will skew the results terribly.

Most establishments should accept picture ID, and have their own copy of your preorder information (EBGames just does it best, it's in our computer. At GameStop they have it stapled to a piece of paper with your name on it... for what it's worth, during the merger, GameStop is going to be adopting EBGames' comptuer systems.)

OK thanks a bunch! I was a little worried that my blank reciept would cause me to go through a lot of hassle to get my preorder, and that's something I didn't want to have to put myself or the store associates through.

LOL! The only thing I can imagine is a stuffy Englishman in a traditional suit sipping a cup of tea. Thanks for the chuckle.
