When you play scenarios like the Great War or the Midgard one, all the nations have different units, with different pictures, names, and powers. For example: French Infantry, German Infantry. The French can't build the German Infantry, and vice versa. How can I do that in my scenarios, considering U.S. troops use more defensive, 5.56mm, guns like the M16, as opposed to the Russians, who use a more offensive gun, the AK47, which is 7.62mm?
Thanks P.S. This is for the same scenario as my first question, about the mysterious brown flag. You can probably tell I'm really stumped. |

You can play around with technologies which make the unit obsolete. For example give Russians tech which makes American infantry obsolete and vice versa. |

I think a better way would be to use "no, no" advances.
There is a detailed and very useful description of how to do this here: http://sleague.apolyton.net/Guides/s...tree_one.shtml This one explains what you need to do very well. And the method used here is the same method used in those scenarios you have played. -Arius |

Arius' link sends you to the best guide for tech tree design, however, for the unit thing you are talking about, you need to read part II of the 'Advanced Tech Tree Design' as well. It helped me a lot!
