Betcha Never Had This Happen to Ya Before...but I could be wrong
So I installed the game, no prob.
I double-click the good ol icon; screen goes black, intro movie plays, then screen goes black again and Monitor has "No Signal". That's right, "No Signal" I can hear the music and when I click the mouse, sounds happen, so I know the game's running, but it's cutting off the transmission to my monitor. I've seen a lot of whacky errors before, but this is a first, any suggestions? Sys Specs: PIII 700 256 Mb RAM Win XP GeForce3 Ti200 Haven't messed with Drivers yet, think I'm using reference drivers from NVidia Also, I've seen the threads of other people having OUT OF SYNC errors; seems like my problem, and I've hunted around for a driver for my monitor---nothing...it's an EMC 986M if anyone happens to have a driver, but I couldn't find one.

Check : Civilization III Fixes (PLEASE READ)
Talks about your problem in ": Civilization III Fixes (PLEASE READ)" SO far as I can tell. Something to do with using basic "Plug and Play" monitor. Try get an .inf file for your specific monitor or check out the other post.
