getting to city screen from domestic advisor screen

Is there a way to get to specific cities from the domestic advisor screen?

Kind of. Click on a city in the list, then click on the flashing dot on the minimap. Then leave the domestic advisor, and you'll see the city on the main view and can enter it from there.

A double click feature would have been easier, I hope it gets implemented in a patch.

However, most of the time you don't need to enter the city screen. You can change production and give orders to the city's governor from within the domestic advisor screen. Actually a very good idea, they just forgot over it that some people may want to enter the city nonetheless.

Click on one of the city names. The corresponding line in the table should light up. Now look at the bottom of the screen. You'll see the build queue, the list of buildable things, the draft/rush/specialize panel, and the minimap. You can change production and specialization of the city you selected.

To change production, just click on one of the icons in the list of hings to build. To hurry production, click on one of the two rush buttons (directly under the "DRAFT" button). You need to have specific civics (universal suffrage or slavery) toactivate rush-building.
