game won't play- at all
Okay, so i got Civ4 today and installed it no problem. But after installation, when i try to play the game, either by putting in the play disc and clicking on the prompt or clicking the desktop icon, the CD drive will power up like it wants to play the game, but nothing happens on screen. I downloaded the new patch, nothing new.
My computer meets or beats all the Min system requirements except for the T+L shading AMD Athlon 2700+ 512 mb Ram 64mb Geforce4 mx graphics card Any idea what's going on there? Is the T+L the problem? Any fixes without having to buy new hardware? I also installed on a Fujitsu Lifebook C laptop which is newer than the computer. I actually got the game started. The opening sequence was a little choppy, but i got to the main menu. When i started a game, the terrain was completely black. What's this all about? Thanks in advance for the help. |

disk one is the play disk not disk two put one back in.

yeah, i tried both disks, still nothing on the desktop.
