d3dx9_26.dll missing
how come d3dx9_26.dll missing? can anyone help?

It should have installed from the CD/DVD. If not, try downloading the December release of DirectX from the Microsoft website. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Hopefully, it will install everything needed. |

Reinstall Civ4, and make sure that when it ask if you want to install DirectX, you click "yes".

The December release of DirectX should fix all issues for all I know. Since it incorporates all backwards dlls.
