Dear members of the European Union,
Though we are not a member of the Union long, we think that it is time to change our currency in the Euro. Not only we will benefit from this change but also every other country in the Union. We hope that you will reconsider this issue and think about it carefully. The Czechian people would apreciate that. Thank you.

German statement:
As we have talked about that issue with our czech friends before, we can just repeat that we are absolutely supporting their wish. Stronging the position of the € on the international finance market should be positive for all of us. |

all the NPC's reporting in. As far as they are concerned it is part of the Czech's jurisdiction to introduce the Europ. It is already accepted in some places of the Czech republic and the sooner the government finishes the transition to only accepting the Euro the better.

So this has been decided.
It's the Czech Republics duty now to introduce the Euro. |

Yeahhh my suggestion to the European Union is that we begin to introduce members with ripe potential in order to further economic growth and overall potential of our continent, I feel that the nation of Switzerland would be a great addition toward our financial growth. What say the rest of you?

You right for sure, but the problem in the past was less the fact that we wouldn't want Switzerland to join but more that they would not like to do so.
However, in the question of Turkey, Germany considers that it would not be wise to include it in the EU. As well, we're momentarily thinking about are reform to simplify majority decisions, involving the population each state represents. |

Population, since when does that have anything to do with our economic decisions, we here in Greece suggest we decide policy by network contribution and the overall economic level.

Well, population is rather important when making decisions of political or juristical kind.
Binding the weight of the vote of one state to its economic capacities is a good idea too. How measuring it? GNP? |

The Euro should be standard everywhere...
and Turkey should be accepted. Miss anything?

OOC - Ya, Azale, might wanna get a Constitution. France rejected the first one, but I am sure that you NESers can figure it out. I mean, if Europe has the dream of becoming a unified state (which I am starting to think it is becoming), then it needs a Constitution. You might also want to cut down on some of the EU's legendary bureaucracy. Oh, and the EU is having some immigration problems, and problems because its population is declining, if you exclude immigration. That's all I can think of.

As we're keeping it with Greece, and want to keep/raise the high economical and financial standard that Europe has, we don't really see how to pay the development of the totally underdeveloped north and east of Turkey. In our opinion, Turkey is historically orientated towards Europe, and it is a close ally and friend of the European nations, but it's still a middle eastern country.
We should rather persevere that London meditates the possibility of switching its currency to €. |

The Brits look at the staggering economy of Europe, then look at the growing economy at home, and politely decline.

We can't take the british position amiss. The number of EU countries is growing too much to be quite tempting.

We find the British position in this mather disturbing. The Czech Republic finds that Brittain must choose to completely join every aspect in the EU or not at all. Though this is our opinion it is not an opinion that everyone has to share.

Britain is unfortunately right...we need to show unity first, by accepting an EU constitution.
All else will follow, including Britain's membership once the EU becomes the attractive organization we want to be...that is just plain is not right now.

Also, this rapid economic decline is disturbing and we should set up a program to monitor this increasing fluxuation, perhaps some sort of joint agency, this would also go a long way in unity and cooperation.
