This was the right decision. I've worked in computer labs and run an IT department. I've got friends in ISP support, database admin, etc, And I've got to say that this is the right decision.

I feel confident in saying that fewer than 5% of users have any competence whatsoever in managing their computers. When you screw it up, and you don't know how to fix it, hiring someone can be very expensive. For the most part, people are better off when they don't have the option.

I'm with vyapti

I want the decision, because I know what I'm doing, but for 95% of users they probably shouldn't have the option.

We do have the option not to use the products on principle though, so everybody does have a decision, if they choose to make educated decisions, based on their own research.
