Post Sdk- When?????

Does anyone know when the SDK for Civ 4 is coming out????

They haven't given a specific date. Early on they said January, but that hasn't happened and their update was early 2006.

I guess it won't be before patch.

It's resonable to assume that if patch is in the works, that then the source code is currently modified, including SDK parts, so it's impractical to release it before next patch is finished.

After patch, who knows...

They said end of January, begin of February. But they didn't said what year.

Chances are they'll both be coming out at the same time. And we can probably expect a new release of the SDK everytime a new patch is released, since the two sort of go hand in hand. Unless of course a patch only changes things that are found in the XML/Python files, not the source code itself.

It may, of course, be delayed. I would expect them to release the SDK at the same time, or shortly afterwards.
