Can someone explain to me how you're supposed to play this mode? I've only played it with an AI ally, since it doesn't really seem feasible to win alone. What victory conditions do you go for? 1 city wont generate enough science, domination and conquest are out since you cant gain territory and the AI will just rebuild cities that you destroy, making it a pain to wipe someone out. Diplomacy is certainly an option, especially since you need to have pretty good relations with everyone anyway to avoid getting your 1 city destroyed. Anyway, I guess I'm just curious how this mode is meant to be played.

Of course it is hard, that is why it's called a challenge! Hint: build as many specialists as possible.

Diplomatic is easist, since you don't need high production and can beeline for mass media.

Conquest is easy in many ways, since you can build all the military national wonders without worrying about the 2-wonder limit. And Globe Theater cancels all war weariness.

Spaceship is hard, but play a lower difficulty than you are used to and you will see it's possible.

I can see winning a OCC conquest on lower difficulty levels where you can be way out in front of the tech race and bristling with advanced units, but how do you pump out enough units from one city to conquer the world on higher difficulty levels? I can imagine pumping out 15 knights and cats only to show up to a city defended by rifles or worse!
